Technology Sunglasses

Sunglasses for general use

Application:

Sunglasses or protective filters protect the eyes from the harmful and unpleasant effects of the sun’s rays.

Reference to standards:

The European standard 1836, the American standard ANSI Z80.3 as well as the Australian standard AS 1067.1. Please use the table of comparisons in this brochure for the specifications on the filter according to European, US and Australian standards

Marking, accessories:

The model number and design variation are printed on the inside of the temple and on the packaging. Information concerning replacement parts, accessories, as well as the designation of the sun protection factor, can been obtained from the respective collection catalogue. In the case of wear and tear (scratches or matt patches) on the sunlight filters, we recommend replacement with original parts!

CAT. 0 - Improved view in case of fog, night or dusk

Storage:

Storage should be dry, in a temperature range of -10°C to +35°C and in a fabric spectacle bag or casc.

Cleaning:

When worn, glasses and protective filters com into contact with perspiration, grease, dust, cosmetics, etc., which can have a detrimental effect on their function. Therefore, prior to wear, the glasses should be cleaned by rinsing with running, warm water, possibly using a standard, mild cleaning agent. The glasses should be dried with a soft, clean cloth.

Note

The filters are not suited for use in the following situations: Road traffic with poor visibility (dusk, tunnels, driving at night etc.) Protection against UV radiation from artificial light sources, high altitude solar radiation, and the direct observation of the sun, etc. During normal and proper use, sunglasses and protective filters demonstrate sufficient, mechanical strength. However, they only offer limited protection against mechanical influences such as blows and impacts, which under some circumstances can cause the glasses or the filter to break or splinter, and may lead to considerable injury to the face or eyes. During sport or other activities, where such effects can be anticipated, we recommend the use of polycarbonate.

Zonnebrillen voor algemeen gebruik

Toepassing:

De zonnebrillen of beschermfilters beschermen de ogen tegen de schadelijke en onaangename effecten van de zonnestralen.

Verwijzingsnormen

De Europese norm 1836, Amerikaanse norm ANSI Z80.3 en de Australische norm AS 1067.1. In de tabel in deze brochure is de classificatie weergegeven van de filters volgens de categorieën die in EN 1836 zijn voorgeschreven.

Markering, accessoires

Het serienummer en de versie van het model zijn op hangtag aan de bril, de binnenkant van het pootje en op de verpakking gedrukt. De informatie omtrent de reserveonderdelen en de accessoires alsmede de aanduiding van het zonnefilter zijn in de desbetreffende catalogus van de collectie weergegeven. In geval van slijtage (krassen of dofheid) van de zonnefilters raden wij aan ze met originele onderdelen te vervangen!

CAT. 0 - Beter zicht in geval van schemering, mist en nacht

CAT. 1 - Beter zicht in geval van schemering en mist

CAT. 2 - Beter zicht en bescherming bij bewolkt tot halfbewolkt weer

CAT. 3 - Beschermd tegen zonlicht

CAT. 4 - Beschermd tegen extreem sterk zonlicht, niet te gebruiken in het verkeer.

Bewaren:

Bewaar ze op een droge plaats, met een temperatuur tussen -10°C en +35°C en in de originele brillenkoker of –zakje.

Reiniging:

Wanneer u de bril en de beschermingfilters draagt, komen ze in aanraking met zweet, lichaamsvet, stof, schoonheidsmiddelen, enz. die een negatieve invloed hebben op hun functionaliteit. Spoel daarom de bril, alvorens hem te gebruiken, af onder lauw leidingwater, zo mogelijk met een normaal zacht schoonmaakmiddel. Droog de bril vervolgens met een zacht en schone doek af.

Nota bene

De zonnefilters zijn niet geschikt in de volgende gevallen: wegverkeer met slecht zicht (zonsondergang, tunnels, ’s nachts, enz.), ter bescherming tegen UV straling afkomstig van kunstmatige lichtbronnen, direct in de zon kijken, op grote hoogte, enz. Maar tegen mechanische belastingen als stoten en botsingen bieden ze slechts een beperkte weerstand en hierdoor kan de bril of het beschermfilter kapot gaan of splinteren en kunnen hierdoor het gezicht of de ogen verwond raken.
